Every day, people open Yaara because they want someone to talk to. On the other side of that call is a listener who chose to be online at that moment. This is what that side looks like.

What the work is

You listen. You ask gentle questions. You do not diagnose, prescribe or promise to fix anything. Most calls are about work stress, family, relationships, exams and plain loneliness. Patience and empathy matter more than any certificate, though trained counsellors are very welcome and can say so in their profile.

How you get paid

You earn a share of every billed minute, shown in the app before you go online.
Earnings land in your wallet instantly, with a ledger you can check any time.
Request a payout to your verified bank account or UPI. Payouts are processed weekly.
Gifts sent during a call are credited to you too.

Your hours are yours

There are no shifts and no minimums. Online means available; offline means no calls. Many listeners do an hour after dinner or a few hours on weekends.

Getting approved

Install the Yaara Counsellor app, sign in with Google, add your languages and a short bio, complete identity verification with Aadhaar or PAN, and add your payout details. Our team reviews every application, usually within two working days.

The rules that protect you

Your phone number is never shown. Calls are never recorded. You can block or report any caller in one tap. In return, keep every conversation on the platform, never take payment outside Yaara, and refer anyone in crisis to emergency services. The full terms are in the Counsellor Agreement.
