Everything happens in the Yaara app: sign in with your mobile number, tap Become a listener on your profile, finish the steps, and you are online within minutes. Listening on Yaara is open to women.
Joining is free. Yaara never asks a listener for money.

Get Yaara from Google Play and sign in with your mobile number. The code arrives by SMS.

On your profile. Your name, the languages you listen in, the topics you are good at, a photo and a short voice introduction — pictures, not forms.

One live selfie
Blink or smile for the camera so we know the photo is really you, taken right now. That is the whole check — no call, no waiting for a reply.

You are online and earning
Toggle Online whenever you are free. Every billed minute lands in your earnings wallet. Add Aadhaar or PAN and your bank or UPI before your first payout.
Fair, transparent earnings
- Per-minute pay. Your share of every billed minute is credited instantly to your earnings wallet, at the rate shown in the app before you go online.
- Weekly payouts. Request a payout to your verified bank account or UPI. We process requests weekly.
- You set your hours. No shifts, no minimums. Online means available; offline means no calls.
- Gifts and ratings. Customers can send gifts during a call and rate you afterwards. Higher ratings mean more visibility.
- Your number stays private. Calls run inside the app. Block or report any customer in one tap.
Good listeners, first
You do not need a degree to be a listener on Yaara. You need patience, empathy and the ability to hold a respectful conversation. Trained counsellors and psychology graduates are welcome and can mention their qualifications in their profile.
You must
- be a woman, 18 or older and resident in India (listening on Yaara is open to women);
- take a live selfie when you join, and verify your identity (Aadhaar or PAN) before your first payout;
- never give medical, psychiatric or legal advice, and refer anyone in crisis to emergency services;
- keep every conversation on the platform and never ask for payment outside Yaara;
- follow the Community Guidelines.

Listener FAQ
How much can I earn?
Between ₹60 and ₹180 for an hour of talking, depending on your tier. You are paid for minutes on a call, not for time spent online waiting. The app shows your exact per-minute share before you go online, and a live counter during every call.
When are payouts made?
Payout requests are processed weekly to your verified bank account or UPI ID. Payouts may be held while a dispute or fraud review is open.
Do customers see my phone number?
Never. Calls run inside the app. Customers see your display name, photo, languages, rating and rate.
Do I pay anything to join?
No. Applying, the app and verification are free, and nobody from Yaara will ever ask you for a joining fee, a deposit or a training charge. If someone does, they are not from Yaara — tell us.
Am I an employee of Yaara?
No. Listeners are independent users of the platform and responsible for their own taxes. See the Listener Agreement.
What if I get an abusive caller?
End the call, then block or report the customer in one tap. Reports reach our moderation desk, and a customer who breaks the rules loses access. You are never required to stay on a call.
